What's different about a mountain wedding

  • Ceremony sites without power. Lawns, decks and overlooks often have no outlet nearby. Jared's setup can run on battery power, so music isn't tied to an extension cord.
  • Sound outdoors. Open air swallows an unamplified instrument. Jared brings his own professional speakers sized for outdoor ceremonies, and a lapel mic for the officiant if you need one.
  • Weather. Mountain weather changes quickly. Jared needs shade, plans with your venue's backup space, and adjusts when the weather turns.
  • Two locations. Ceremony on the mountain and cocktail hour in town? Jared can set up and sound-check the cocktail-hour space first, then play the ceremony.
  • Guests from out of state. Many Vail weddings are destination weddings for families flying in. Songs everyone recognizes help a mixed crowd feel at home.

Getting there

Vail is about two hours west of Denver on I-70, and Avon, Beaver Creek and Edwards are a short drive farther west. Jared arrives about an hour before music starts to set up and sound-check.

A travel fee may apply outside metro Denver. It's included in your quote, so there are no surprises.

What we play

Most couples book the ceremony and cocktail hour. The ceremony usually needs about 16 to 18 songs, and cocktail hour runs about 20. Pick from the song list: Here Comes the Sun, A Thousand Years and Viva La Vida are favorites for outdoor ceremonies, and John Denver's Annie's Song is a Colorado classic.
