Your song isn't in the library? That happens all the time, and it's an easy fix.
Yes. 3 custom songs are included with every booking, then $25 each. You request them in your BookLive client portal, Jared reviews each one, and song picks are due about two weeks before the wedding.
How a custom song request works
- Check the list first. The Extreme Strings song list has hundreds of songs, so your favorite may already be there.
- Request what's missing. In your BookLive client portal, add the song and the moment you want it for: your walk down the aisle, the recessional, cocktail hour.
- Jared reviews it. In his words: “This will go into my queue of songs that I need to review. Most likely I'll approve it.”
- He learns it for you. Once a song is approved, Jared learns it for your wedding.
- Lock it in two weeks out. Song picks are due about two weeks before the wedding, and you go over them together on your Zoom planning call.
What custom songs cost
3 custom songs are included, then $25 each. A custom song might be an entrance song with special meaning, a recessional you've had in mind for years, or a song for a parent or grandparent.
Any song can work on violin
Because the violin carries the melody and there's no singer, songs with explicit lyrics work fine. As Jared puts it, “I can play any song... and nobody needs to know that there are bad words.” Songs with explicit lyrics.
The library already covers a lot of ground: classical, country, R&B and soul, movies and musicals, and EDM sit beside the pop hits. Guests can make requests on the day if you'd like, from songs Jared already knows. In his words, it's hundreds of songs, “but it's not going to be every song on the planet,” so anything you really want to hear belongs in your custom requests ahead of time.
