Denver Botanic Gardens wedding violinist

Garden weddings are a natural fit for violin, and Denver Botanic Gardens is one of the Denver venues we're booked at most.

Short answer

Yes, Extreme Strings has played four weddings at Denver Botanic Gardens: three in 2025 and one in 2026. Jared plays wireless electric violin with his own speakers and battery power, so ceremony and cocktail hour work wherever your spaces are in the gardens.

Why violin works in a garden

  • No cords across the paths. The violin is wireless, and Jared's battery setup can power him outdoors for about a day, so he isn't tied to an outlet.
  • Sound that reaches the back row. Open air swallows an unamplified instrument. Jared brings his own professional speakers, sized for outdoor ceremonies.
  • Two spaces, one musician. If your ceremony and cocktail hour are in different parts of the gardens, Jared sets up both ahead of time, then walks the violin over and plugs back in.
  • Songs your guests know. Garden favorites on the song list include Here Comes the Sun, River Flows in You and A Thousand Years.

Planning your music

  1. Check your date. Send your date and which parts of the day you want music for.
  2. Book online. Sign a one-page contract and pay the deposit in your BookLive client portal.
  3. Pick your songs. Choose them in the same portal; 3 custom songs are included, then $25 each. Picks are due about two weeks before the wedding.
  4. Walk through the day. Once your timeline is set, we go over cues together, and Jared coordinates with your planner and the venue.

“I had them play before and during the ceremony and it was FANTASTIC. I received so many compliments on the music...it set the tone perfect - especially with the violin version of many modern pop songs that were recognizable yet sounded divine.”
