How far ahead should we book a wedding violinist?
There's no magic number of months. There's only one violinist, though, and only one of your date.
As soon as you have your date and venue. Wedding dates are first come, first served, and many couples book a year or more ahead.

What holds your date
- Date and venue. Jared asks couples to nail these down first, since the venue shapes setup, power and any travel fee.
- Proposal. You get a proposal and accept it with a click.
- Contract and deposit. You sign a simple one-page digital contract and pay the deposit in your BookLive client portal, by card or by ACH bank transfer, which saves the card fee. That holds your date.
- Balance. The rest is due about a week before the wedding, and BookLive sends you a reminder.
- Songs and timeline. Song picks are due about two weeks before the wedding.
Still deciding?
Tell us. Dates are first come, first served, but if another couple inquires about your date while you're still deciding, Jared gives you first right of refusal before booking it.
Plans change, too. If you need to move your wedding and Jared is free on the new date, there's no change fee. If he isn't, he'll propose one of his trusted substitute violinists.

What to send when you reach out
- Your wedding date and venue
- Your ceremony time
- The parts of the day you want music for: ceremony, cocktail hour, reception with your DJ
Is your date very far out? Ask anyway, and we'll tell you whether your date is open for booking yet.
Booking from out of town
Everything happens online, so you can book from anywhere. Couples from other states plan Colorado weddings with Extreme Strings, and we travel anywhere, including abroad. A travel fee may apply outside metro Denver, and it's in your quote up front.

It helps to have both. Jared asks couples to nail down the date and venue first, since the venue affects setup, power and travel.
What if we need to change our date?
If Jared is available on the new date, there's no change fee. If not, he'll propose one of his trusted substitutes.
How do we pay the deposit?
Online in your BookLive client portal, by card or ACH bank transfer. ACH saves the card fee.
When is the balance due?
About a week before the wedding. BookLive sends you a reminder.
