Violinist for hotel and convention center events
Hotel events run on loading docks, AV contracts and vendor requirements. Extreme Strings is set up to fit in without extra work for your team.
Extreme Strings has played the Four Seasons Hotel Denver, Gaylord Rockies, the Omni Interlocken, the Hyatt Regency Denver at the Colorado Convention Center, Sheraton Denver Downtown and The Broadmoor. Jared works with in-house AV or brings his own sound, and backstage he only needs a closet or corner for his cases. No green room required.

What Jared needs from the venue
- A place for his cases. “Not a specific green room. I do need like a closet to store my instrument cases.”
- A playing spot. A little less than a 10 by 10 foot space, and he can usually make less work.
- Power or house sound. A power outlet for his own system, or an XLR input into your audio engineer's board.
- Time to set up. He arrives about an hour before his first set to unload and set up.

On the day
- Load-in. Jared arrives about an hour before he plays and unloads his gear.
- Setup and sound-check. On his own system, or with your audio engineer on the house system.
- The event. He's generally stationed in one area and can walk around a bit with the flow of the room. A microphone is available for your host during his contracted hours.
- Load-out. Cases come out of the closet, and the space is clear.
Paperwork hotels ask for
Many hotels have insurance requirements for outside vendors. Jared can send a certificate of insurance, list the hotel as additional insured, provide a W-9 and sign the hotel's waiver. More on COIs and W-9s. A vendor meal is welcome but not required; whatever is easiest for your banquet team works.

Questions planners ask
Do you need a green room?
No. Jared just needs a closet or corner to store his instrument cases.
Can you use the hotel's AV?
Yes. Jared can plug into the house system with your audio engineer, or bring his own. The price is the same either way.
When do you arrive for load-in?
About an hour before the first set, so he has time to unload and set up.
Do you need a vendor meal?
It isn't required. If the hotel is serving one, whatever is easiest for you works.
