Violinist for a cocktail reception or client appreciation event
At a reception, the music should make people want to stay and talk. Live violin gives your guests something to notice without stopping the conversation.
Extreme Strings plays client appreciation nights, welcome receptions and post-conference happy hours across metro Denver. Jared plays songs your guests know, about 20 an hour, picks the style for your crowd, and can provide a microphone so your host can thank everyone for coming.

Music picked for your guests
Jared keeps his song list up to date and shapes each set around who's in the room. For an event full of financial advisors, for example, he suggested classic rock like Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses and Ozzy, because “the classic rock is always a big hit with that demographic.” If you want more dance tunes, he can add those.
- Classic rock: Sweet Child O' Mine, Kashmir, Stairway to Heaven, Crazy Train.
- Jazz standards: Take Five, Fly Me to the Moon, It Had to Be You.
- Current pop: Coldplay, Bruno Mars and more from the full song list.

How a reception usually runs
- Setup. Jared arrives about an hour before the first guests to set up and sound-check.
- Arrivals. Lighter, familiar songs while people get a drink and find each other.
- The middle of the night. The energy builds with whole songs, about 20 an hour.
- The thank-you. Music pauses, your host takes the mic, then the set picks back up.
The details planners ask about
Jared usually performs solo with full-band backing tracks and brings his own sound, so you don't need to arrange AV. He's generally stationed in one area but can walk around a bit. For the toast, he can hand your host a microphone during his contracted hours. Booking happens online in BookLive, and checks are fine for the final payment.
What hosts say

★★★★★“Our attendees absolutely adored his performance, and his ability to cross genres means he really can fit into any event seamlessly.”
Questions planners ask
Will the music be too loud for conversation?
No. A reception set is meant to sit under conversation. Jared brings his own system and sets the level for the room.
Can you play songs for an older crowd?
Yes. Classic rock and jazz standards go over well with an older crowd, and Jared adjusts the set to your guests.
Can our host use your microphone?
Yes. Jared can provide a microphone during his contracted hours so your host can thank everyone for attending.
Do you need a meal?
Not required. If you're serving a buffet or vendor meal, whatever is easiest for you works.
