Violinist for a product launch or grand opening

A launch needs a reason for people to stop and look. A live electric violinist in the middle of the room is hard to walk past.

Short answer

Extreme Strings has played the Creed fragrance launch at Neiman Marcus, a Denver hotel's grand opening, a downtown restaurant's opening night and a hotel renovation ribbon cutting. Jared usually performs solo with a compact setup, so he fits on a sales floor or in a lobby, and he builds the playlist around your guests.

Launches and openings Extreme Strings has played

  • The Creed fragrance launch at Neiman Marcus. In Jared's words, he played “for an hour as they launched the Creed perfume brand right in the middle of Neiman Marcus.” It was one of several Neiman Marcus Denver events he played that year.
  • A hotel grand opening in downtown Denver.
  • A restaurant's opening night in downtown Denver.
  • A hotel renovation ribbon cutting in Broomfield.
  • An open house at SKYLIGHT in Denver.
  • A launch event at Domain NORTHSIDE in Austin, Texas.

Retail and hospitality launches have a different rhythm than a seated dinner. People drift in and out, stop for a few minutes, then move on. Recognizable songs on electric violin give them a reason to stop, and a full-band sound keeps the energy up even when the room is half full.

How it works on a sales floor or in a lobby

  • Small footprint. Jared needs a little less than a 10 by 10 foot space, about the size of a tailgating tent, and can make less work.
  • Stationed, with some movement. He's generally stationed in one spot but can walk around a bit, depending on the flow of the event.
  • Sound that fills a store. He brings his own professional speakers and sets the level for the space.
  • Set up before doors. He arrives about an hour before he plays, so setup is done before your first guest walks in.
  • A playlist for your crowd. Tell Jared who's coming and the feel of the brand. He picks from hundreds of songs, from jazz standards to current pop.

★★★★★

“What I like most about Extreme Strings is that the performance is so engaging, but being instrumental, you just find yourself singing and dancing along...realizing you know all of the songs even though there isn't a vocalist on stage.”

Why live violin for a launch

Background music from a speaker blends into the walls. A violinist playing a song people know makes them stop and listen, which is exactly what a launch or opening wants. Pair it with a cocktail reception, or see how pricing works for a one-hour booking.
